Trips & Visitors
Through field trips and visits from a variety of outside instructors, children develop a broader knowledge of their environment and of themselves as members of society.
Special activities may include:
• Visitors from Teatown, The Nature of Things, firefighters and police
• Regularly scheduled musical guest
• Periodic visits from a movement instructor
• Visits to Muscoot farm, Lyndhurst, a dentist’s office
• Monthly visits to Bethel Springvale Rehabilitation Center (P.M. classes)
• Nature walks and treasure hunts, fall pumpkin picking and hayride
• Celebrations of children’s birthdays, holidays and graduation
